Background

From rehabilitation to oncology

After technical training in prosthetic production, Artem entered Pavlov First Saint Petersburg State Medical University in 1996. His professional education subsequently included surgery, urology, oncology, clinical pharmacology and internal medicine.

A personal family experience with cancer—and access to a clinical trial during a difficult period—made the value of research tangible. It shaped a commitment to improve awareness, infrastructure and patient navigation around clinical trials.

Research

Clinical practice and research operations

Since 2012, Artem has worked in oncology research and developed a team-based approach to feasibility, study start-up, recruitment, data quality and sponsor communication.

His interests extend from medicinal-product and medical-device studies to digital tools that support research and patient routes. Current resources and site capabilities are provided in a protocol-specific site profile.

Public role

Building a research culture

Artem is a founder of the National Association of Investigators and Research Organisations and participates in professional education and public discussion of clinical research.

Activities include patient webinars, sessions at oncology forums, collaboration with patient organisations and plain-language communication about research rights, uncertainty and informed consent.
